Thuru Kapakaru is a digital incorporation designed by News 1st, with the partnership of S-lon PLC, to increase the reforestation drive within Sri Lanka.

The app promotes the plating of trees with designated owners. You can upload images and details each time you plant a tree. The longer you take care of a tree, the more points you earn. The app will be your guide which helps maintain and keep a constant track of the number of trees planted, and monitor the growth of each tree. This will further help gather information of trees planted by simply scanning the QR code given to each tree.
